From the Minnesota Department of Health: 2023 Minnesota State Loan Repayment Program (SLRP) Application Cycle Open

From the Minnesota Department of Health:
I wanted to let you know that our current 2023 SLRP application cycle is now open and will close on October 28, 2023.  It is focused on loan repayment for Nurses and Mental Health Providers practicing in Rural and Urban Health Professional Shortage Areas:

• ​Major Objective 1: Increase the number of Nursing professionals working in high needs rural communities with severe nursing shortages to strengthen healthcare access. 
• Major Objective 2: Increase the number of Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) Licensed Mental Health Professionals serving within underserved diverse communities, increasing access to mental health services. 

Please see the attached Program Information Notice and application information for the worksite and share with staff that may be interested in applying.  It is a 2-year service commitment, a competitive application, with a potential $40,000 award for full-time clinicians or $20,000 for part-time clinicians.
